The history behind the Death or Glory emblem stretches as far back as 1759 when it was first used by the 17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge’s Own) a cavalry regiment known for their bravery and nicknamed ‘The Death or Glory Boys’. |
In 1922 they were amalgamated with the 21st Regiment and renamed the 17th / 21st Lancers. 1993 saw yet another amalgamation and they are now known as The Queen’s Royal Lancers. |
